Clear content formatting

Content formatting, such as bold, italics, colors, and fonts, can be applied using the rich text editor. If content is pasted into the rich text editor, it will try to retain its original source formatting unless it's pasted in as plain text.

Formatting is not always visible in the rich text editor, and it can override the theme's colors, fonts, margins, padding, and other content styling.

To see if content has formatting applied, click the Show HTML button, , in the rich text editor.

Content that has formatting applied will look something like this:

<p><span style="font-size:17px;color:#00aaff;"><em>Text</em></span></p>

Content that does not have formatting applied will look something like this:

<p>Text</p>

Clear content formatting to remove any applied or pasted styles and allow the content to match the styling set by the theme.

To clear content formatting:

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Products.

2. Click the name of the product that you want to edit.

3. In the rich text editor, highlight the content that you want to clear the formatting from.

4. Click .

5. Click Clear formatting.

6. Click Save.

In a ProTab

To clear content formatting in a ProTab:

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps.

2. Click the Tabs Studio app.

3. From the main menu in the Tabs Studio app, click Tabs.

4. Click the title of the ProTab that you want to edit.

5. In the rich text editor, highlight the content that you want to clear the formatting from.

6. Click .

7. Click Clear formatting.

8. Click Save.
